Configuring Global Settings

Before adding timers to your pages, it is best to configure your default Global Settings. These act as the baseline for your timers, though you can always override them on individual pages.

Step-by-Step Guide #

1. Navigate to your WordPress Dashboard.
2. Go to Settings > ELC Countdown.
3. Choose your default Timer Mode (LearnDash Expiration, Evergreen, or Certificate Expiration).
4. Set your Global Expiration Message (e.g., “Course Access Expired”).
5. Enter a Global Redirect URL if you want users automatically redirected when time runs out.
6. Toggle Auto-Reload Page if you prefer the page to refresh upon expiration instead of redirecting.
7. Customize your default labels (Days, Hours, Minutes, Seconds) for translation purposes.
8. Click Save Settings at the bottom of the page.
