Adding Pre-Messages and Expiration Overrides

You can add context to your timers by adding text that sits above the ticking clock, and you can override your global expiration messages on a page-by-page basis.

Step-by-Step Guide #

1. Select your ELC Countdown block in the editor.
2. In the right sidebar, find the Pre-Message text box.
3. Type a call to action like “Hurry! Registration closes in:”. Basic HTML like <b> (bold) or <br> (line break) is supported.
4. Find the Custom Expiration Message box just below it.
5. Type a unique message for this specific page (e.g., “This cohort is now full!”). This will replace the Pre-Message and the timer exactly when the clock hits zero.
